ANTHROPOLOGY AND THE COMMONS

International conference celebrating 10 years of the Konitsa Summer School
Konitsa, 24-26 July 2015

On the occasion of our 10th Summer School, we organize a 3-day conference under the title “Anthropology and the commons”. Our former guest speakers, who joined the Konitsa Summer School, will present papers that will contribute in conceptualizing the relationship between anthropology and the commons. We will discuss the practice of ethnography and its effects on the commons, the development of anthropology and other social sciences in relation to the public domain, the cross-border milieux as shared commons. A detailed schedule of all conference activities will be available in mid May. The opening lecture and the welcome reception of the conference will take place on Friday 24 July. Sessions will take place on Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 July.

More on the conference and the 10th anniversary celebrations will be announced in due time.
